Solar eclipses have always fascinated, and at the same time frightened humans. Mostly frightened. In Chinese culture it used to be believed that the phenomenon was caused by dragons trying to consume the sun and that it was a sign of the ruling emperor to be extra weary of his throne.
Altough solar eclipses are such amazing moments. The spectacles used to view them are hopelessly ugly, and are an unused medium.
